We started the week with Dan DiDio's version of Blue Beagle and Rooster Gold, but we all know that's not what the heroes on Earth-C Earth-26 Earth-C-Minus look like. They look more like this:

To be accurate, Earth-26 is the Earth of Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew, but not these guys. On Earth-26, these guys are fictional characters, in a comic book actually drawn by Captain Carrot. However, they are real on a different Earth. In the good old multiverse, Captain Carrot was on Earth C, while Booster and Beagle's JLA were on Earth C-.

Because I'm feeling argumentative:
The Justa Lotta Animals were never fictional (at least so far as comic-book realities were concerned). They are factual inhabitants of an alternate universe, just as Jay Garrick was a real person even though Barry Allen didn't know that at the time he was reading FLASH comics.
More to the point, the Justa Lotta Animals are probably still on the plane called Earth-C-Minus. As shown in CAPTAIN CARROT AND THE FINAL ARK, Earth-C-Minus still existed even after the events of 52, when Earth-C was renamed Earth-26.
So, yes, I was incorrect in calling these two inhabitants of Earth-26. I knew better. (I got it right in my Twitter and Facebook links to this post!) I apologize for the error.

Nahh, don't apologize. I have very few opportunities to look smart for a moment. And while you were right that the Justa Lotta Animals aren't fictional on a multiversal level, they are in a sense fictional on some worlds and not others, which is what I meant.
And I agree they're probably still on Earth C-, but it will probably have a number attached to it soon, and a different art style. The good news is that Rooster and Beagle may feature quite prominently, and that's the important thing.

I'm sure you're right about the style change. Can you imagine that the BatMouse of Earth-26-Minus probably has a mouse-symbol embedded with an intricate pattern of tiny mouse ears and mouse-shaped kneepads? Ye gods.

Ha! That would be crazy, and yet, quite likely. For now I'm assuming this JLA would have a style similar to the new Captain Carrot from Multiversity. The style's a little more like the new TMNT movie than I'd prefer, but overall I don't think it's a bad style. I'm concerned it may be a bad style for the particular characters, though. I think the best plausible scenario is that Captain Carrot's world will have the new style, and BatMouse's world will still be very cartoony. That will prevent people from confusing the two worlds.
